RESULTS

Best international result/s: Commonealth games; Gold medal in Delhi 2010, Silver medal in Melbourne 2006 and Bronze Medal in Glasgow 2014

Major goal for 2017/2018: To make the 2018 Commonwealth Games and compete at home in front of my family, friends and supporters

Most memorable sporting moment: It would definitely have to be winning the gold medal in Delhi. It was a very tight competition and it was also my highest ever total. After winning silver in Melbourne the gold medal is something that I wanted to achieve.

What do you like most about your sport? I love the competitions and simplicity. The competitions are intense and there is no better feeling than lifting a weight to win. It is a unique sport where 100% of the focus is on 1 athlete at each time. Also the simplicity (though can get very tactical and complex) of who ever lifts the most weight wins.

Who/what inspires you to achieve your best in sport? I enjoy the thrill of the competitions and what strives me to do well in those is everyone that surrounds me from my family to my coach and all my training partners.

Favourite food/drink: It would have to be Italian and cheesecake

Favourite song/music: Always hard to choose but I do like Muse, Arctic Monkeys, British India and Daft Punk to name a few.
