Best result/s:
2021 Olympic Trials: silver - 1500m freestyle, achieving the Olympic games qualifying time, at the age of 17. Also swimming under the Olympic qualifying time for 400m freestyle. Breaking Kieran Perkins’ 17 year mens 800m free record.
Major goal for 2022:
Making the Australian swim team to compete at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, then to make the final and win a medal.
Most memorable sporting moment:
Breaking 15 minutes for the first time at age 17 in the 1500m free. Breaking Kieran Perkins’ 800m free record. Winning gold in the 200m, 400m, 800m and 1500m free at the Australian Age swimming championships 2021.
Biggest Challenge you have faced? Remaining motivated to be at my best during the extended COVID period and not being able to compete at the cancelled Junior Pan Pacific Championships 2020 and cancelled world junior championships 2021.
What do you like most about your sport?
Competing and the people you meet in this sport.
Who/what inspires you to achieve your best in sport?
The legacy of Australian distance swimming - the likes of Grant Hackett and Kieran Perkins.
