Major goal for 2021:
Competing in the Tokyo Olympic Games for Australia.
Most memorable sporting moment:
Watching Emma Snowsill take gold in the 2008 Olympic Games.
Biggest Challenge you have faced? Overcoming injuries is definitely the hardest part of elite sport. Especially the ones I’ve had which have taken 8 or so months to get through.
What do you like most about your sport?
Having three sports-in-one definitely keeps the training and racing interesting and dynamic. And it’s a real challenge to get the right balance with swim, bike and run, and I love that.
Who/what inspires you to achieve your best in sport?
I started triathlons when I watched the Olympic Games on TV back in 2004. And since then, I started the sport, loved it, and that’s where I’ve wanted to get to ever since. I feel like I set big goals for myself as a kid and chasing them each day inspires me to be my best. Plus having seen my parents work hard their whole life, inspires me to do the same.
Favourite food/drink:
Sushi and Coffee.
Favourite song/music:
The 80s, after listening to it with Dad on the radio, on the way to training when I was growing up.
Favourite destination:
I wouldn’t say I have a favourite, but I do get excited each time I’m headed somewhere new to explore.
